Police Service of North Ireland launches child protection online facility

The Police Service of North Ireland (PSNI), as an extension of the Child Protection Disclosure Scheme, has launched an online application facility for protecting children. This facility is expected to facilitate people to raise concerns about someone who may pose a risk to a child online rather than having to visit a police station in person. Detective Superintendent Lindsay Fisher from the Public Protection Branch, shared that the online process builds on the PSNI’s existing safeguarding processes, but it is not a facility to report a crime.
