Report shows that companies are concerned about the security of data stored in the cloud
According to the 2016 Data Threat Report recently published by Vormetric, organisations which store data in the cloud have concerns over the security of such data. The top data security concerns for the cloud include: security breaches/attacks at the service provider, increased vulnerabilities from shared infrastructure, and lack of control over the location of data. According to the report, such concerns may be addresses through encrypting sensitive data stored at cloud providers. The survey undertaken by Vormetric also shows that 85% of organisations plan to have sensitive data in the cloud within the next 12 month (an increase from 54% last year).
