Russia: the telecom and media supervisory agency can ask for domain names to be un-delegated without a court order
Roscomnadzor, the Russian Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Telecom, Information Technologies and Mass Communications has recently been granted with the power to request that domain names are un-delegated, without a court order. The power has been granted by the Coordination Centre for .ru and .РФ, the registry managing the Russian country code top level domains. This allows the agency to request registrars to un-delegate domain names under .ru and .РФ, if they are found to host child pornography content. Roscomnadzor joins several other Russian state agencies, as well as corporate and non profit organisations which have such powers to demand that domain names be blocked and un-delegated. Source.
