Russian hacking group publishes details about IoT hacking plan
According to BBC Russia, a breach within the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (FSB) ecosystem revealed the existence of a so-called Fronton Program. The program’s technical documentation was released by the hacker group Digital Revolution and it focuses on creating cyber weapons that can be used to execute cyber-attacks on Internet of Things (IoT) devices by exploiting their vulnerabilities. The intent of the program is not just to hack the devices, but rather to use them to create a botnet that can attack much larger targets.
