Scottish parents approach government to seek digital devices
Scottish parents have reached out to the Scottish government to voice their concerns regarding the digital divide in the education system. The parents have sent dozens of emails expressing their concerns about access to devices amid school lockdowns and requested support in providing laptops and tablets to allow for remote learning. ‘Our £25 million investment to address digital exclusion has to date supported local authorities to provide over 63,000 devices and over 11,000 connectivity solutions to disadvantaged children and young people’ said a government spokesperson.
