Spending on cloud computing infrastructures to increase in 2016
The International Data Centre estimates that the total spending on IT infrastructure products for deployment in cloud environments will increase by 18.9% in 2016, to a total of 38.2 billion USD. Spending on public cloud infrastructure will grow by 14.1%, to 24.4 billion USD, while spending on private cloud infrastructure will be up 11.1%, to 13.9 billion USD. Such investments are expected to grow across all regions of the world. In the long-run, cloud infrastructure spending is expected to grow at a 12.5% annual growth rate over the next five years.
