Study reveals negative environmental effects caused by video-conferencing tools
A study conducted by Purdue University, Yale University, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology reveals the ‘significant environmental impact’ of video conferencing. According to research One hour of videoconferencing emits between 150 and 1,000 grams of carbon dioxide into the environment whereas it also requires up to 12 liters of water. The numbers of CO2 emission are significantly lower if video is switched off with the ability to reduce the negative environmental output by 96 percent.
