Twitter loses yet another trust and safety team lead

After only a year at Twitter and seven months at the helm, the head of Twitter’s trust and safety portfolio called it quits, following the footsteps of her predecessor. The news comes on the heels of reported boycotts of the platform from the advertising community and layoffs of thousands, including those responsible for content moderation.
Simultaneously, Elon Musk, Twitter’s CEO promotes Community Notes, an automatic personalised content moderator tool on the platform. The company also withdrew from the EU’s Digital Service Act, resulting in increased scrutiny from regulators.
Twitter affirms its commitment to internet rules in Europe.
