UN experts warn about extremists increasingly using encryption and the dark web

A report prepared by UN experts monitoring sanctions against extremists groups underlines, according to Associated Press, that extremist groups are increasingly using encrypting messaging and the dark web. The use of such anonymity tools, which intelligence agencies have difficulties in penetrating, causes governments to ‘potentially lose much of their previous technological advantage over terror groups’.
