UN OEWG Chair invites member states to PoC directory briefing
The UN OEWG Chair is inviting member states to an informal virtual briefing on the Global PoC Directory on January 31 at 9:00 a.m. to discuss its development roadmap and implementation efforts. It is crucial for member states to participate and nominate points of contact promptly.
In a letter to OEWG member states, the Chair of the Open-Ended Working Group (OEWG) on ICT security, Burhan Gafoor, extended an invitation to an informal virtual briefing about the Global POC Directory on 31 January 2024 at 9:00 a.m. (New York time).
The briefing will inform member states about the roadmap and timeline for developing the Global POC Directory. The Secretariat will provide updates on implementation efforts, fostering a comprehensive understanding among delegations.
Gafoor emphasised the significance of elucidating the necessary steps to operationalise the POC Directory and execute related decisions. He also strongly encouraged delegations to participate in this crucial process and urged member states to promptly nominate points of contact for the Global POC Directory.
