UNICEF and others launch application to better protect children in South Sudan
The UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Save the Children, and a network of child protection organisations have jointly launched an online database and application to protect children in South Sudan in cases of emergencies. The app consists of a database of child protection cases, has the provision for taking photos and recording audio, which frontline caseworkers can update and monitor in real time, reducing administration time, making it easier to trace reunite children with their families while communicating among each other.
