US counterintelligence strategy asks business to help combating espionage
The new US counterintelligence strategy envisages a greater role of the private sector in detecting and combating foreign intelligence threats. According to the director of the National Counterintelligence and Security Center, state-sponsored hackers target more companies, which should be understood as counterintelligence attack against US. The strategy envisages, among other, enhanced awareness of CEOs of the new type of threats, better information sharing on cyber-threats, hiring cyber counterintelligence and technical security experts, and developing new analytic tools for early warning on threats to critical infrastructure.
