US Department of Justice says the request for Apple to help unlock an iPhone is not undue burden
The US Department of Justice has submitted a new court filing in the case involving the FBI request for Apple to assist in unlocking an iPhone. The filing argues that the FBI’s request does not represent an ‘undue burden’ for the company, and that the order is limited to a specific case, and ‘it does not compel [Apple] to unlock other iPhones or to give the government a universal master key or back door’.
