US Government still wants help from Apple in unlocking a phone
The US Department of Justice told a New York Court that it still needs Apple’s assistance to access data on an iPhone belonging to a drug dealer in Brooklyn. In February, a judge ruled that the government could not force Apple to help unlock the phone, and the government challenged the ruling. Although the case is different from the San Bernardino one, the government uses the same act as a legal basis for the request – the All Writs Act.
