US National Science Foundation awards US$1.5 million for designing IoT public infrastructure
The US National Science Foundation (NSF) granted US$1.5 million to a team of researchers from Cornell University to design the Internet of things (IoT) public infrastructure for the state of New York to improve connectivity in the rural areas of the state. The team will collaborate with community partners in the different counties of New York to set up networks based on low-power wide-area network (LPWAN) technology.
