W3C SocialWG publishes working drafts on Webmention, Social Web Protocols
The W3C Social Web Working Group has published two First Public Working Drafts. The first is on Webmention – a simple way to notify any URL when a user links to it on his/her site, and a way to request notifications when other sites link to it – and Social Web Protocols – a collection of standards which enable various aspects of decentralised social interaction on the Web. The Social Web Working Group is tasked with defining technical standards and APIs to facilitate access to social functionality as part of the Open Web Platform.
