OpenAI has signed an open letter with Google, Meta, Mistral, Salesforce, and other tech companies stressing the importance of building AI responsibly.
The open letter, initiated by venture investor Ron Conway and his company SV Angel, advocates for a ‘collective responsibility’ to maximise the benefits of AI while mitigating its dangers. AI is compared with other consequential innovations like the printing press and the internet, emphasising the need for thoughtful action to shape AI’s influence on society positively.
