Tech-industry bodies unhappy with copyright-legislation trends
The Computer & Communications Industry Association (CCIA) and Internet Association filled their complaints to the U.S. Government about forthcoming copyright reform in EU. Members of these organizations believe that proposal for copyright reform will negatively affect industry and internet as we know. They believe that filtering requirements, provisions that would order to pay European organisations for activities that are entirely lawful under the U.S. copyright framework, and direct liability for third-party content would be in contradiction with worldwide standards in this area.
